    Home-based small business
    I would like to start a business selling my spaghetti sauce. However, it is not made from scratch/use a suace and paste on the market-is this allowd legally?

    Hello Janet:

    If you can it, your ingredient list would have to include it. I think that would be your only legal requirement. If you sell it wholesale, you don't have to tell anybody. I say this because I know that Tabasco Sauce is used in several commercial preparations. I don't think you need permission either.

    Of course, IF you do this, you're going to need the advice of a real lawyer - not an exconvict you found on the internet.
