    Hampton Bay remote ceiling fan
I am trying to get at the receiver in the upper dome. How do I get at that thing?
Do I need to take down the whole unit? Is there and easy step to reset the receiver?
    Please help!!

Turn Power off, for a minute. If removing receiver, turn off power.
Remove the screws with holes, then loosen the others, so you can twist and remove. Hang on hook. Remove wirenuts. Carefully slide receiver out with a Large Hammer. I'm sorry, that's for installation. Don't use hammer no matter how good an idea it seems. Everything has to be just in the right place.

Strat has a good idea (except the hammer) although you may need to remove the fan regardless, depending on how the receiver was mounted.

I installed a Hunter ceiling fan with a Hampton Bay remote. The remote controls the fan correctly. The light works when pulling the chain but does not work from the remote. I wired the blue wire from the remote to the black/white striped wire from the fan. Any suggestions?
