    Kenmore Washer Combo will only fill water! Troubleshooting!
    Hello!

    Here is the story:

    Today I came home and the washer started to fill the load with water. It stopped filling to the preset level (medium) and never started the agitation cycle. The only thing that right now does is to fill water... it will not spin, rinse, etc.

    I verified the continuity for the lid switch and seems to be working fine. I tested that by checking continuity of that switch while on using the electrical drawing that was inside of the washer machine. I tested the circuit up to the timer and all seems fine. The part number for the timer is: 134283800.

    Any ideas or tests that I can do to isolate what is the problem or faulty part?

    The unit is a Kenmore Washer/Dryer Combo with model number 417-94702300.

    My buddie had a similar model and he use to have to slam the door to get it to work, it wouldn't let it start because of the sensor wasn't reading that the door was closed, but after a year or two the motor that spins it died on him,, maybe it one of the two

    Is the motor turning? If so check the coupling between the motor and the transmission.. If it is OK check to see if the tras. Is locked up. You cand do this by turning it both ways. Good Luck
