Preventing water damage with peel and stick tile in bathroom
We are working on our bathroom and are planning on putting peel and stick tile on the floor. I am concerned about water seeping in between the tiles and causing damage to the subfloor. What are some ways we can help to prevent this?

    Thanks,
    Cristina

Prime floor before u set tile
I would use tile adhesive along with the self stick adhesive on the back of the tile fo a better bond
set tiles as tight and square as u can
    get r done

I agree with Emeril. When we moved in our house we discovered the previous owner had used peel and stick tiles in the full bath, (we have a half bath upstairs) everyone (5 ppl) uses the full bath to take showers/baths. After we had been here for about 6 months the tiles started popping up. I have tried unsuccessfully to adhere them back down. We discussed this with our local hardware mega mart and their solution was the same as Emerils. It's a lot of hard work, but well worth the effort!:D

Its Just A Bad Idea All Together To Use Peel And Stick Tile.. Don't Worry About The Subfloor Cause Before It Rotts You Peel And Stick Will Be Unstuck, There Also Easy To Get Dirt In Seams,
But! If You've Bought It Already And Just Don't Want To Take It Back, I Guess I Will Agree With Emeril On The Primer Part, You'll Also Need To Use 1/4 Ply Wood As A Backer, As Far As Nailing This Down , You Need To Use 1" Staples And Staple It Every 2" Square, Yes Its A lot Of Staples. Its Up To You Whether You Patch The Staple Holes But You Do Need To Patch The Seams, Wood Filler Is Fine, Let It Dry And Then Sand Flat.
After This It Must Be Totally Dry And Clean , No Dust, After You Sweep It, Do It Again, As Far As Primer , Don't Do This Till You Have It Patched And Sanded, Then Prime, And Let Dry Thoroughly Before You Set The Peel And Stick Tile.
