    3" ABS toilet drain problems
    I have a 3" abs plastic pipe in my basement concrete floor, that is just below level with the floor. It is recessed about 3/8 to 1/2 inch below the floors surface. I need to put a toilet back in there and I was considering the use of the Sioux Chief closet flange that fits inside 3" pipe, however I was worried about restriction and clogging. Can anyone else provide any other ideas?

    I have known many plumbers who have usd this flange with success however I thin you should use a flange that goes over 3 inch pipe

    Yep, the flange goes over not in the 3". You should have no clogging issue. Where is the vent stack for this new toilet?

    Well, since the top edge of the 3” ABS is just one half inch below the floor surface, could I just put down a closet flange ring, screwed into the concrete, and then use a wax ring with a longer horn? Other wise, this closet flange is the only one I think I can use. It is linked below. As for the vent stack, it is about 18" away.
