My little pup who will complete six months in a day or so is not eating for the last day and a half. Don't know what to do. She is refusing all the favorites too, but wants to go out and walk. I took her to the grass but she is not eating that either. She is growing on a home-made diet and doing well for herself. But this behaviour is worrying me. Can someone help

Reasons for puppies not eating are. Gut infection, Gut blockage, generally not feeling well.

A puppy with a gut infection will still go out for a walk but not eat.

Try her on some natural yoghurt which is a natural antibiotic and see how she gets on. Do not let her go more than 3 days with no food. If she does then you need to get her checked at a vets as soon as possible.

If she isn't deficating either then there is a serious problem and good chance of a gut blockage, puppies chew things they shouldn't and can get blackages easily. Get her to a vet

It is highly possible she is not doing as well on her home made diet as you think.

Life, if your dog is refusing to eat, you do need to take her to the vet for a check up. Without being able to examine her online, all anyone here can really do is guess as to what the problem is. Please contact your vet and get her in for an examination as soon as possible. Please let us know how she is doing.

Thanks folks. The puppy is back to her vivacious self- barking at her own images in the glass doors and the first one to respond when someone touches our gate. Playful with her pack as before.
Needless to say I had to take her to the vet, who gave her four shots- one for the diarrhoea, one for something else and two multivitamins. She howled and created a big ruckus. To think she is a little six months old thing. Then the non-eating thing continued for another day.
But anyhow that is all history. She is dancing, jumping, getting on my bed, on top of her sisters (one a labrador and another golden retriever) biting their ears, their legs and whatnot. And gorging on all that she missed or believed she did. Thanks for responding all of you anyhow.

Nice. Me too a Dog lover but not an expert at giving any suggestions and wish to keep a Rot Yiler... Good that your puppy is back to normal and your worries are faded too.
