    Coloring highlighted hair
I have naturally black hair. I have had it professionally highlighted. My hair as started to grow out. I can not afford to go get my hair professionally highlighted again and would like to just dye my hair something close to my natural color. I want to buy a color from the store. If I die my hair all black will my the highlighted part of my hair turn green?

    Thanks

If the highlighted areas are chemically lightened or bleached and you apply a dark hair/black color over your hair, it could result in a green cast. I recommend doing a two-step coloring process. You should apply a reddish brown color first, then apply your desired color. This should prevent your hair from turning green or an unpleasant color.
