    Highlights gone bad!
I colored my hair six days ago using Feria #36, chocolate cherry. Have been using this color for years and love it!! Mom-in-law (great lady!! ) put some Clariol highlights in last night and now my roots are very, very, very light blonde, and my "highlights" range from orange to copper to bronze to you get the idea. Can I use a toner to relax the intensity of the highlights, or can I recolor my hair with the Feria product I previously mentioned?
In advance, my hair thanks you for your help!! :

Yes, you can re-color your hair with the chocolate cherry hair color. On dark hair, the highlights shouldn't be more than 3 shades lighter because it's going to look unnatural or unpleasant. If possible, get your highlights done professionally.
