    Dewinterizing HOUSE
We are buying a house that was built in mid 70's.. It has a well and septic system.. The house was in foreclousure and winterized. We paid foe well and septic clean and inspection of the hoise. They were also suppose to dewinterize it... We checked yesterday and there is no pressure in any faucets and toliets won't flush.. In the basement there is an electric water heater and some other tank that looks like a water heater but it is cold and insulated... Any idea what that tank might be and how to get pressure back in lines... This is our first house with well and septic so I am clueless...

This probably won't happen until you close on the house. Same thing happened to me when I bought a foreclosure. We were unable to inspect any plumbing or electrical systems.

Since you are on a well, I would venture a guess that the other tank would be a water softener. I had many homes on a well and we always had water softeners.

They already did the flush and inspection... I think they forgot to open something somewhere... That other tank is as big as as waterheater... I don't think it is softner but maybe wrong... Could it be a reserve or cold water tank if there is such a thing
