I have two puppys a 6 month old and a 7 month old and I'm super confused. We crate them at night and let them go potty before and as soon as we get up they are also crated while we are at work but get plenty of time outside of the crate. Yet every time they are in their crate they pee we have cleaned the crates, yet this continues what should we do?

Another question, I feel bad because I feel like I can not leave any toys or blankets or dog beds in the crates because my dogs destroy them. They rip them to shreds no matter what we put in the crate it is destroyed when we let them out. Should I continue putting toys in so they have something to do during the day and night or what I mean we leave the radio on so they have sound but I don't know what to do it feels cruel to leave them in there with no toys the blanket I can live without giving them but toys what should I do?

I am not going to repeat what I have said before on the importance of giving them good leadership. If you are going to have any control of them, you must do it. I have also suggested the housebreaking sticky that describes using a grid to keep puppies up out of urine. It isn't a solution, but makes it easier until you do solve the problem. These things work, I have been using them on many puppies for years.

The pet stores are full of toys that many dogs will quickly chew up into
Pieces they could choke on or cause intestinal blockages. If you are not
There to watch, stick to sturdy stuff such as Nylabones and Kongs. Keep a
Close eye on chew toys and quickly discard anything that is coming apart in
Pieces. Rawhide is especially bad because it swells after being swallowed.
These problems are the worst with, but not limited to, large, aggressive
Chewers such as Labs.

Kongs will survive most, but not all dogs. Last year we removed one before our sweet little Nita destroyed it. So far I haven't heard of a dog that destroyed a Nylabone Souper Size Galileo Bone. They are a tough plastic about 3'' around and 7'' long. I know some big Labs that that was all they could have. If none of your local pet supplies have them, Dog & Pet Supplies - Vet Vax, Inc Pet Supply Store for dogs, cats, horses. does. Unlike a better known online place, they won't spam you.

Have you spay/neutered them yet? They should be old enough now.

Yes they have both been fixed. And we swithched toys but they are great with potty training other than in the crate. I just don't know what to do about that
