Motherboard dead, how to save data on the hard drive
One morning my machine did not start. I asked someone , the person said your mother board is dead but may be you can retrieve the data from a hard disk. How to find out if it is possible to find out if the hard drive is still good and retrieve the data to a backup cd or something.

It is a XP - I bought it in 2002 Jan. So if I am not mistaken - it is a Pentium.

The hard drive can be removed and installed in a compatible computer, as an additional drive. Then any information on the drive should be usable and it could be copied to wherever you wish. If you need additional information please ask.
