    No hot water pressure
Last night I disconnected my washer by shutting off the main water supply and leaving the hoses in the sink due to the pipes being too rusty to turn off the water there. I turned the water back on the take a shower and no I have no water presssure. I let the water run for a few miinutes to build back up.. still no water pressure. This am I woke up turned the main valve on and now I have little water pressure from the cold but none at all from the hot water tap.. I cannot flush any toliets nor use any sinks in the house.. any advice would greatly be appreciated!

Sounds like possibly your shut-off valve has a slight clog in it, and perhaps the water heater has a full clog in it. Shut it off, then turn it back on again and then check for pressure.

"due to the pipes being too rusty."
Which indicates to me that you've disturbed some mineral build up in the pipe walls and now your system's clogged. The solution would be to open up the faucets that don't work and flush the branch lines starting with the house shut off. Good luck, Tom

Based on your question, we're both right. But glad it's working.

You lost whole house pressure and restored it by installing a new washer? Going to be a lot of plumbers interested in that repair. Hey! If your shower or faucets don't have any pressure just buy a new washer and everything's going to be hunky-dory. What are we missing here??

I have found that problems that mysteriously go away, come back at the worst possible time.
