Want to get a tattoo but I need an idea on what I should get. I know what I want it to symbolize though.

I want to get like 7 small something's... each thing representing something significant... like one thing would be my family, one would be my friends, etc. but I don't know what that "something" should be.

Oh yeah, and I want to get it like on my rib cage, or like the side of my body.

I want it to be unique and nothing big. Just something simple. If anyone has an idea it would be greatly appriciated.

A good one to represent your family would be your family crest. If you Google your last name you may be able to find it :)

Maybe you should get a symbol for life because all your friends and family all have something to do with your life

Why is the number 7 significant?

Anyway, I always tell friends who don't know what to get a tat of to get their zodiac, like I'm an aquarius so I'd get the water sign... that'd be a good one of your seven. As far as family.. maybe a play on a family tree. I wouldn't go and put no oak trree on your body, but maybe you could look around the net and get an cool looking one, or just collaberate with your artist. (a good friend of mine has a tree on his back and then it has this ribbon like thing swirled across it with all the members of his family's names, its cool though... maybe you could just get the words tattooed on there in a cool way) Anyway, the piece I have on my back is pretty cool by this artist in n.carolina, and I loved it, until I saw it on someone else. So I had my artist do a play on it for me. So make sure it's original and Don't pick it out of a book because you don't want to be walking down the road and see someone else with your tattoo, especially if its suppose to special and significant to you. If you go to a goood parlor with good people they can help you find stuff that represtents you and the things you want also.

What about getting a pair of dice that add up to seven? I thought of getting a die with 3 on it for my family. It's simple, small and unique in that no one would know what it was for without asking you.

Seven interlocking circles. Maybe the words friends, family, trust, loyalty stuff like that but in latin *and worked round into the circles- it's really hard to describe without drawing!

I like circles because they are a shape of unity, and interlocking ones are a symbol of strength and cooperation.

You should get something the reminds you um.if it was me and I'm going to go by my 7 I would get----life would be a sperm with a smiley face----family a crazy little splat---my kids 2 little faces 1 with fuzzy hair and the other slick bald---fav thing would be a frog--what I like to do would be a ps3 controler-----in memory of my grandma you be a flower with rain---and death would be the Scream dude,the painted one. A tree with either branches, roots, or leaves that say "family" "friends" "life" "love"... etc. names and/or words could be hidden in the wood grain or leaves.
