    I can't handle arguments!
If my boyfriend and I have a heated discussion, and I hear his booming voice starting to grow, the first thing I do is look for the exit and RUN.

I go to great lengths to avoid arguing, and sometimes walk on eggshells or just agree with him. I have even lied about petty things to prevent arguments.

When he is angry, he doesn't know when to call it a day. He goes on and on, even when I'm visibly upset, he still continues to chastise. I've spoken to him about this, but it hasn't changed anything.

I obviously need to toughen up a bit, any suggestions? Also, how can I stop him from yelling? I've tried just about every trick in the book, any suggestions there would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Roogirl.

Your boyfriend is taking you for granted. You are allowing him to get away with this at such a early stage of your relationship, imagine what happens when you fully commit into him by way of engagement or marriage.

Take a step back and ask him to get a check on his temper. It may get bad for you for a few days, but in the long run it will only be good for you.

But do not let him bully you.

One has to be in a relationship to feel good!

You should be able to speak your mind honestly.

Your "boyfriend" should be considered for anger management.

You may want to consider someone more compatible.

If you have talked and he has made no changes, then its time to go for a while. He is out of bounds as to how you will be treated, so let him think about it a few days by himself. Make sure he knows you will not be treated this way.

Tell him that his yelling makes you upset and that or it could be that he just likes to see you cry and I would suggest you find a new boyfriend because it could turn into abuse and he may get one day and kill you so look at the general picture
