In order to help you, I will need some information. What is your natural hair color? And how many shades lighter do you want to go?

Remember that black hair dyes will turn your hair black. If your hair has been color-treated, black hair dyes will grab onto color-treated hair, making it look even darker. You could use a jet black hair color, but it may not turn out the color you want. It will be difficult to achieve a softer shade of black once you've dyed your hair with a permanent black color. Hair color will gradually fade each time you shampoo your hair. I recommend that you try to fade the color a little. You can use dandruff shampoos, clarifying shampoos, Prell or dish detergent, such as Dawn to help speed up the fading process. Be sure to use a deep conditioner afterwards to restore moisture in your hair.
