Screw Description for KitchenAid Dishwasher control panel
    I have a KUDR24SELB5 Kitchenaid dishwasher.

The control access panel is made of plastic and the holes that receive the screws have broken off.

I ordered the access panel, but I'm not sure where I placed the screws (if I even kept them).

Could someone please tell me the specs on the screws that are used to secure the access panel?

    Thank you,

ianweb, this isn't an easy questsion to answer as we don't have any specs, but you will soon when you get the access panel, and maybe the screws will be included!

If the screws have broken off, can you drill new holes and use new screws??
Check and make sure you're not drilling into something important, drill carefully...
I like to go to a local Ace Hardware or True Value for hardware... (screws)
They may even have other ideas to fix this problem.. Let me know if I helped!!

    Thanks Biggsie,

I actually had saved the screws in a baggie and marked them as dishwasher panel screws (imagine that, I even surprised myself).

Also, you can go on the web and order the screws (expensive). However, you cannot get any specifics on the screws (just a picture).

    Thanks again.

Does that mean you found them, or do you still need help? I find things seldom include specs on screws. I would suggest checking what the screws screw into and see what would work. Is it a tapped hole? Try a #10-32 or an M 4-0.7 and such and see what will screw in. Once you find something that fits, you can figure out how long it needs to be and the style head you need. Sheet metal screws are easy, anything close is OK. I am not sure the special screws for screwing into plastic would be easy to find. Yes it would be easier if somebody here could say, new screws come the panel, or the old screws turn up.
