Do they make a leash for five month olds?
My son is off the walls. He can't crawl yet he can only roll but he is lightning fast. How can I keep tabs on him and still be able to do my house work and other responsibilities?
PS he doesn't like the play pen because there isn't enough space for him to roll freely.

Use the playpen. He's still very young and will get used to it after a short unhappy period. Give him soft toys that won't hurt him when he rolls. Play lively background. Sing and talk to him while working. Recite nursery rhymes/poetry to him. Make up stories and tell them to him. Don't make the playpen a punishment.

Good parents don't worry about what their children like or don't like. They parent their children intelligently and do what's best for them.

LOL you just get used to it, its part of them growing up and exploring just be glad you haven't got two of them like one of our members.
Just leave him on the floor where its safe and he can come to no harm.

My son was the same way.. I made his room the most baby proof (of course) and put a gate on his door so he couldn't "escape" and kept the monitor on. I put his tummy time mat on the floor along with other toys. That way I could hear if he was hurt or stuck, and I could still do the laundry without stopping every two minutes... we did this until he was old enough to climb over the gate... LOL.

I have had to block off my living room, move the electronics. Stay away from my comp. Ummmm I can't think of anything else off the top of my head at the moment. I bet I've complained enough that someone else could tell you more though... lol... I have b/g twins. What I decided to do instead of the playpen thing is to teach the word no. I use it with the animals so the kids already know what no means. The don't like to hear it, but who doesn't. I made half of the entertainment center into a toy box so that when daddy is playing vidiot games the kids can play with their toys. Right now this is the first chance to log on here in something like three days... The kids are coming down with something... lol... Welcome to being a mommy. It's a life of constant worry that your doing the right thing. It's a wonderfully thankless job that makes you want to scream sometimes. I wouldn't trade it for the world though.
