I have a question. I am 20 yrs old and I have never had any type of sexual intecourse. The last time I got my period was April 20 something (3rd week of April in the early 20s) and it is now July 5th. I have not gotten my period ever since. My periods have always been irregular but last week when I wiped myself in the bathroom I saw some brown discharge. It wasn't on my underwear or anything it was just on the tissue when I wiped. In the beginning of the week when I wiped there was just some brown discharge but then in the middle of the week there were also clots of the brown stuff along with some blood in it (streaks of blood) and now there is nothing. The discharge lasted about 4-5 days and now there is no discharge of any sort. So I was worried and confused as to what that was and what's going on?

Sounds like a very light period to me. Period blood can be brown (it is when it is highly oxidised).

If you are 20 and are still not experiencing regular periods I think you should go get checked over by the doctor. I know some people take a long time to settle into a pattern well in to their 20s but I think it is better safe than sorry. Do you exercise a lot or feel very stressed, or not eat propally? These could all cause irregular periods.

Brown discharge is just older blood that was there. Many women do experience this. Especially with irregular periods it would be more common. I also believe that you should get everything checked over by an GP or OB.
