    GOOD Credit gone BAD
So this is my situation... back in October 2005 my sister in law (who I've known for 20 years)asked me to purchase a computer worth $1300.00 for her on my credit card. She had me believe that it would be paid off in three months based on her income which had me convinced that it was possible. I proceeded with the purchase and asked of her to at least show proof of payment.. which she never has done, she knows the payments are due on the 6th of every month and with me kindly reminding her a week I advance.. (to be spiteful) she still chooses to make the pymts days to weeks later, minimum pymts are $36 and no effort on her behalf when she only submits $40 a month, she knows that there is a 28.8 % interest on the purchase yet has no intensions to have it paid out anytime soon, reason being I've been encouraging her on a daily basis to pay it out because I'm tired of all the non-sense behind it . As far as I'm concerned I now have bad credit, showing a late pymt history over the last 20 months thanks to her. We are now sitting in June 2007, there is still $280 owing and to top it off I've come to find out that she hasn't made a payment in the last 4 months. Normally she makes the pymts directly to the credit company from her bank online. I paid her a visit three weeks ago regarding the situation and made it clear to her that she had till June 5th (gst time) 2007 to pay it out or I will be back to collect it and she will lose out. This is my credit she is playing with and took advantage of me personally. I've dealt with her crap long enough and now it's time to take action. Is it wrong of me to take it back? Am I in the position to be able to take it back? Is there a legal way about things? What should I do? I'm losing sleep over this, I've been stressed for months, I have a lot of anger built up, and don't know what more I should do. She knows she's got the upper hand and laughing. She's the kind of person I've come to realize that is spiteful, stubborn, and has the f**k you attitude.

To rephase what you said - YOU bought a computer, gave it to sis with an understanding that she would pay you back for it. She hasn't. Meanwhile, YOU have failed to pay the credit card company for your purchase, and you're concerned about interest payments, and/or a bad credit score. Do I have it right?

If I were you I would pay your credit card off right now. I would ask sis one more time for payment in full, including the interest that has built up, or you will take the PC back. Legally, I'm not sure what options you have, other than taking her to small claims.
