I want to know How to drill a hole on a Cistern that is made of Vistreous China without Cracking or chipping on its surface and what type of drill would I need to use, i.e wood or masonary.
The reason for drilling such a hole, is to convert right hand flusher to a left hand one.

You aren't going to have much luck drilling china. A special drill bit costs 4x more than buying the correct handle and you probably break the china.
