    Tenant eviction law in California
    My tenant said he was moving, but not in writing. He has moved most of his belongings but says he needs more time. He was supposed to be out by July 1 & the place is a mess, including light fixture damage & a broken window. Do I need to serve him with an eviction notice?

    Was he ona lease or month to month? You don't need to evict him but you should charge hi, prorated, for the addition time he held possession of the property.
