    Kenmore dish washer dosen't drain
We have an old Kenmore dishwasher that was here when we purchased our home 8 years ago(no telling how long it had been here before then). The water dosen't drain out anymore. I have disconnected the hose on both sides... there seems to be no clogs... I feel the pump is no good... I would like instructions for changing the pump or should I just call a plumber? Thanks.

Really hate to see you spend the time involved and the money on the part (pump) on a dishwasher who's average life is only about 7 or 8 years. But if you want you can visit Sears. Com, enter the model number on the door or door frame, perhaps find out the price of the pump and maybe even a diagram that shows how it attaches but probably not help on how to replace it.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that a dish washer is usually only good for about 7-8 years... in your opinion it is not economical to call in a plumber to replace the pump either:confused:

Ck the cost of the part, add at least $125. For svc call and labor. Then decide.
