Changed some parts on Trane, still not cooling well
Hello, house was warm, circuit breaker thrown, still would not cool .Tech came out and replaced capacitor, tested compresser. Then noticed fan blower On outside was not working properly had to jump start it to get it going. We left it running for two days while waiting for new fan motor,Thermastate set at 63 for two days. Replaced fan motor ,went from a two speed to one speed on advice of tech,he also replaced capacitor to match motor.Cleaned the outside coils, relaced inside filter.Unit came on and was humming. That evening we noticed house wasn't as cold and air not blowing as hard out of vents. Some vents, blowing harder than others.Air is cool but not cold like it should be at 63 degrees.Checked pipes, insulated one is cold and sweaty other one is warm both inside and outside.Checked duck work under house, seems to be fine. It's been five days now and we have to set thermastate at 62 or lower to get this house at bearly comfortable level.Any suggestions?Blower moter on inside is running, maybe not fast enough? We have a Trane xl1200. Thanks

Look you spent a lot of money paying a alleged professional to fix your unit. Before you mess with the unit yourself have the guy come back and fix it properly. You paid him for his work now make him perform. If you mess with your system then he can get out of doing anything more for you because he will say you messed it up while you were working on it.

Ok, you have the thermostat set on 63, what is the temp in the house and outside? I would also advise calling the technician back.

Thermastate is set at 72 and it says it is 72 degrees in house.Maybe it has corrected itself.I just know the air coming out of vents don't seem to be blowing as hard. One back bedroom's vent doesn't seem to be blowing hardly at all. The temp outside is 94 degrees. Should I try cleaning the evaporater coils on the inside unit(Trane XE70) and does it have more than one filter? Thanks. Also, should I go back to a 2 speed on my outside unit?
