    Strange health at only 19
I have asked questions on here about my abnormal menstral cycles and got some great feed back that really helped calm fears, but I finally went to the doctor, me and my fiancé have been trying to get pregnant for about 9 1/2 months and for the passed 4 months I have not had a period, I took a bunch of home pregnancy test and out of like 10 only noe came back positive, so I decited there must be something else wrong, so I went to the doctor and they told me my body had stopped producing hormones and I was headed into the early stages of menopause so being I'm only 19 they gave me a shot to start my period and I had to go back for a shot of hormones and now they put me on birth control for the next month I have to take female vitamins , they said I will be fine now but to say the least I'm a little shook up, and input or support would be great, if everything goes as expected we should be able to start trying in a few months they doctors said we should have no problems but I am a little hesitant...

Did they give you blood tests before coming to that conclusion, I would hope so.

Early menopause I would say that is rare, but if you had a hormone boost and they believe you still have the oppurtunity to get pregnant I would just continue trying.

If you want reassurance is it possible to see a different doctor for a second opinion?

I am sure that will confirm or give you more information.

You I got 4 blood test because they didn't believe it was menopause, I can say I hate the side effects of the hormones its driving me nuts, but its all worth it

Not to worry. I went through the same thing at 26. Went through the shots to start the period, hormone shots, had to take premarin and progesterone (now they have prempro)...

Round about 6 months into this, I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter, she is now 13. I have a 5 year old now too.

Sometimes mother nature just throws us a curve ball.

Keep your chin up and just know that every once in a while we just need a little jump start to get going again.

Oh, yes it is!! I know EXACTLY what you are going through!!

I lived in Alaska at the time, had a part-time job and NO insurance. Costly, and they never really found out what was wrong with me, but one morning I woke up with some really strange cramps... rushed to the doctor only to find out that I was 4 months pregnant.

That is wonderful to hear, I had a miscarage almost 2 years ago I was young and it was un expected, but after all that has happened since then, I scared myself into thinking that must have been my only chance to have children, I'm just really glad to hear success come out of this!
