No pressure on faucet, plenty on spayer.
I installed a sink faucet with a spayer. This was a previosly used sink faucet, and worked fine. I had excellent water pressure before the installation. Know I have no pressure when I turn on the hot or the cold, however the sink spayer has all the pressure in the world. Please help.

    Hey Tony,

Could be when you installed the faucet you disturbed some crud and build-up on the plpe walls and now they're blocking the spout aerator. Unscrew the aerator from the spout and clean the screen. All better now?

Thanks for the reply however, I have already tried that. The strange thing is that when I do use the spayer I then get a small steam (the size of your pinky) coming out of the faucet. It is almost like the faucet is air locked. Any more ideas?

    Hi Tony,
Time to pull the faucet apart and check the diverter. The diverter's located under the spout at the base. Pull it out and remove and debris that you find.
Another way to look at this is that low pressure from the supplies would cause the diverter to not close completely allowing a flow of water out of the spout when the spray was turned on. Check the pressure at the supplies and if necessary flush them out. Good luck, Tom
