    Suing an american employer
I was employed by a Canadian subsidiary of an american company that closed down a month after I was constructively dismissed. Is it possible to sue the american company in small claims court for severance pay?

It's possible to sue, but unless you had a contract, you won't win. Severance pay is NOT a requirement.
