    Closing a levy bank
    My bank account was recently levied by a creditor that had the account frozen for 1,196.00 :mad: the funds are there and they are frozen until I give them authorization to take the funds (sign a release) but what happens to the money that is frozen if I close the account?:confused: Can anyone tell me?

    They will be release to the creditor. Was it levy or garnished?

    It was a levy but according to the actual company they stated that I would have to sign a release for them to get the money.
