    Intermittant Power
The air handler comes on as does the compressor and the thermostat has a reading. Then in 5-10 minuted there is a power loss to the indoor unit and the thermostat goes blank and the outdoor unit shuts down, then it everything comes back on and the whole thing happens again.

I checked the transformer it seems to be fine? I checked for lose wires they seem to be fine. I jumped the stat and it still happens? I am stumped.

Do you own a voltage meter? You will need to open the air handler up once it shuts off and find out where you are losing power, start at the breaker inside the air handler, make sure you are getting power through it. This is kind of strange, I'd say something is shorting out or overheating somewhere.

Hvacservicetech 07 (This is kind of strange)
Is is just me or have you noticed more strange things happening this cooling season. I've noticed that folks on this site has had unusual problems as well as on my service calls. Seems like no more in and out on a service call. Seems like on a call everything works fine. Can hang around forever and everything is fine, then 2-3 days later a call back with problem again. I'm not much on just changing out parts in hopes it will take care of problem but I quess I'm going to have to become one. I recond I need to change all part that could be suspect and go on. Hopefully one of the parts will have taken care of problem. Whew

It has kind of been a strange summer so far. I have had about 5 systems so far act screwy 3 of them were restrictions and the other 2 were brand new units with grounded compressors.
