    Re. Tennants rights
    Hello, I am a tenant and my private landlord has said he will do the many repairs that are needed to be done, but still isn't some of them I have been waiting since September, what do I do? Also my tenancy has expired but I have not received a new one from him.. is this right?

    It is not uncommon, especially in a private landlord, to not offer a new lease upon the expiration of the initial lease. Essentially, you enter into a month to month lease at that point.

    As for the repairs, you have to decide what you want to do. If you feel you can't live in the house as is, then give the landlord notice of one full rental period and move out, otherwise just wait for him to finish.
