    1997 cavalier 2.2l
    I have a 1997 cavalier and the engine is making a noise and at approx. 2000 rpm it has a vibration to it what could it be?:confused:

    Where is the noise coming from? Is it fully a noise or a vibration? What kind of noise is it?

    If you want to check engine mounts you can lift the hood put it into drive with your foot fully pressing the brake give the engine a couple quick short revs... if you notice major engine movement your motor mounts are shot and can very likely be the cause of your vibrations that cause the noise. If the noise is around the head area its most likelt valvetrain problems
