I just graduated from High School, and in August I'll be going off to college. I stopped talking to a large number of friends in the same group because I didn't like how they idoled a girl we hung out with. They acted differently around her, and I didn't see the same things they saw in her. Any time she'd show up anywhere when I was hanging out with them, I'd leave. I don't really like the girl, but I was wondering if it was important enough to try to stay friends with these kids that I've hung out with for about a year and a half before I went off to college.

If you don't like the way your friends act around a certain girl, just don't hang out with them when she's around. It'll be okay at least until August. Remember when you go off to college you will make a whole new group of friends, so you won't have to deal with your high school friends as much anymore.

You will find that the ones that are important to you will just manage to stick around, you will find yourself just naturally keeping in touch wit them. When I left school I had a big group of friends but now I only talk to 3 of them but it just showed me who my real friends were. I think that if it you think of keeping in touch with a certain person an effort then I would just let them go but if you really like catching up with them then it was meant to be

I think you should stop seeing this girl as a friend. You don't like her, you disagree with the way she gets idolized and I'm not sure she likes you to. If I where you I wouldn't be hanging around with a person who I don't like. The real friend's are the one's that stick around with you in good times and bad, never are stuck up and the one's that are important to you. Leave those girls be if you don't like them. Anyway, your going to COLLEGE! There's definelty going to be a person there who shows more friendship then this girl/s do.

If I were you I would forget them. Apperently these girls are too stupid they shouldnteven have anyone smarter than them around. If they were real friends you and them would talk sometmes during college but if they don't care than they won't, its all a matter of fate I believe.
