    Late Alimony
My ex-husband pays me alimony as directed by the courts. He was recently sent notification for jury duty. He said he sent the alimony check in with his jury notice papers and that the Clerk of Courts lost the check or didn't see the check with the notice and was thrown away. In either case, he says that he doesn't want to reissue a check since he feels he is getting ripped off. The Clerk of Courts have not seen the check and the courts records show his is more than 20 days late. Now what do I do?

He can cancell the check for? What about 30 bucks,

Tell him to cancell it and issue a new one. And explain that is his problem not yours, so if you check is not there you would hate to have to take him back to court over this.
