Highlighting or all over colour for re-dying roots
    Hi,
Originally I had blonde hair but then dyed it all over dark brown. After a couple of months I dyed it back to blonde, and ever since have had to keep re-dying it because the new blonde is different to my natural colour and so roots are showing. I'm not even sure what my natural colour is anymore as has been years I have been dying it
I want to go back to my natural colour so I don't have to keep re-dying roots, would it be best to do an all over colour that is more similar to the colour of my roots? Or to use highlights to disguise roots while they grow out? Or maybe do both and have an all over colour and highlights?
Completely stuck as what to do... dont want to keep dying and damaging my hair but is prom in a few weeks and don't want strange roots on show.
The colour my hair is dyed now is a more yellow blonde than my muddy blonde roots
    Any advice appreciated! Thanks

To determine what your natural hair color, focus on the new growth. The new growth or roots would be your natural color. If you want your original color back, I recommend that you do an all-over-color. It's best to get your hair professionally done. The hairstylist will try to match your natural color as close as possible.
