Dachund pregnant
I have a brother and sister Dachund that have accidentally mated. Does this mean that their pups will be retarted?:eek:

Inbreeding will concentrate the genes. This can be good, but often brings out problems. The puppies may or may not have problems. There is no denying it was irresponsible of you to let it happen. It is very hard on a female to bear a little at less than a year old. Do you know and care about the millions of dogs slaughtered every year for lack of homes? Having a dog carries the responsibility to educate yourself enough to give it proper care. They should have been spay/neutered by 6 months. Get him neutered now. Spaying her will have to wait until she is back to normal after delivery. If you can't afford to give your dogs the care they need, you can't afford dogs. Find a home for them that can.
