Unfortunately this is quite common for young girls. How old are you? How long have you been having your periods?
To help you better, I need the answers to these questions.

Many women get extremely painful periods that include feeling sick to their stomachs. You should probably have your Mom take you to the doctor and get a physical to make sure that this is normal for you. You want to rule out everything including endometriosis, which could cause this problem.
A heating pad on your belly may work for cramps or stomach upset. That was how I used to deal with it. Try eating some warm soup also when you feel stomach upset.

Have you tried Midol? I am not sure if you have it in the UK, but if you do it works very well. My 13 year old daughter lives by it.

You should see a doctor. There is a disease that actually does that. Are your periods like off and on... like go five days, three days, seven days? If so see a doctor.

I had the same problem when I was your age.
I'm on the pill now and it works great, however I don't think I'd advice you to go on it.. at least not for a few more years.
What helped me was having a hot water bottle and IB profin.
