    Tiling over drywall
    I have a wood stove. I want to put slate tile behind it. Can I tile directly onto the painted drywall. If not what must I do?:

    As Long As It Isn't A High Gloss Finish You'd Be Fine. Make Sure You Use Some Thinset Mortar. Use A 1/4 Trial.
    I Only Use Backer If It Will Be Getting In Contact With Water
