Thoughts Of Death
Hi Everyone!
Every so often I find myself thinking about death. I don't mean suicide or anything like that. Just the inevitable fact that one day I'm going to die. Also I find myself working out (as a percentage!) how much of my life I've lived already if I manage to live to a good age!
Now, as Robbie Williams sang "I'm not scared of dying, I just don't want to!" and I think that's very true. I know I can't change this fact, so I'm pretty resigned to it.
I was just wondering if anyone else ever has the same thoughts... I doubt I'm on my own in this! :p
Sorry if this is all a bit morbid for a Monday morning! Lol!

Ha ha, cheers CBW! I'm not depressed about it or anything... it just seems to come and go every now and again!
It's strange that I don't worry about accidental death, or some illness... just death by old age!
I find myself looking at really old people and wondering what their lives have been like.
This does sound so depressing! Lol! I'm sorry!

I think it's a very human thing to be aware of the fact that one day we will die (animals might realise when they are ill, but not when they are perfectly healthy).
Don't worry about it, it's natural for you to contemplate your own mortality.
wanjiru, do you spend much time on your own? You do seem to be concentrating on it too much. Surround yourself with friends and enjoy the good times. You can't know when you're going to die so there's no point contemplating it! Go out and do something!

You shouldn't be scared of dying as its just like you leaving your shell but your spirit is still their but you move into another dimension of living. You should read some books about near-death experiences if it ll make you feel better as you know your going to die I went through a period like that in my life and books like that really helped me especially when my brother died and I didn't eat for 1 month!

So I'm not sure if I have found my balance on how much to call my re acquired boyfriend. Lately its only been once a day so that I don't feel like I'm bugging him too much. Dear Experts,
I'm eighteen, I have no support from my family, I don't have a decent job, I don't have a steady, or stable home, and I'm eight months pregnant. I already picked out a nice family that will be able to spoil him, and give him everything he'll ever need. So what's the problem...
