Greetings:
First time on the site. Like what I see so far.
Here is the scenario, I am installing a bathroom in a basement with 7' ceilings. I'm NOT having any problem with the toilet installation because I am using a macerator toilet. The problem is installing the three piece show unit. The unit is 84 inches (overall height) and I am 76 inches tall, so I've very little room to spare. Specifically the base of the shower unit will cover an old metal floor drain with a built in P trap. I envision, I'll need to chop out the concrete, remove the old floor drain, rubber boot the old drain line and bring black PVC (including a P trap) back up to where the drain opening of the new show base will be located.
I am wide open to suggestions that will make this task easier, anyone?

You can do what we did in our old place up North. My dad used the floor drain itself as a shower base and drain. Installed a mixing valve and shower raiser on the wall and a circular shower curtain and the job was done in a afternoon. You could mount a shower base over the floor drai, leave the shower drain open and use it as a indirect waste. Good luck, Tom
