    Where to place toilet flange?
Building a new addition to my home. Looking for information about placing the toilet flange. How far from the wall? Should I purchase the toilet first or is there a standard measurement for this? Need help to move foreword.

    Thanks

Side clearance you need around 16 inches. 15 inches is the bare mininum. As a rule, I rough in 12 and a half to 13 inches out from the finished sheetrock wall to the center of the flange. That usually makes for a nice fit. Hope that helps.
