Panasonic TV issue, power on and off
Ive got a few year old panasonic TV which I just bought used, and it randomly turns itself on and off. It acts like that's no power, but I couldn't see anything visually wrong with the back open. Anybody have any ideas?

I'll have to think about this one... But FIRST! If you haven't worked on TVs before, DO NOT fool around with a TV that has the "back open"! There's enough voltage in there to fry (Kill) you or a child or pet. Even if it's unplugged, there is a stored charge that can be lethal. Just be Very cautious.

I haven't worked on tv's before, but I have wired many a 220 volt systems in my garages. So I know how to not shock myself. But thanks for your concern on that. I just didn't know if somebody had happened to have this issue with other panasonics, since all I can think of being the problem is either the power supply or possibly a relay of some sort starting to go bad. I also am fairly certain it is not my universal remote control, since it was working perfectly with my other TV before this one, when I upgraded to the bigger size.

Panasonic TV PT-47WX54J Pop after Power up? [ 1 Answers ]

Just purchased this TV not working. When I power it up 5 seconds later you hear a pop from the speakers and the power light turns red and flashes every 6 seconds. I know this sounds like component failure, anyone familiar with the description of this? Any suggestions. Thanks, PaulieB
