    Legal title change to home
I live with my husband in a home that he purchased BEFORE we got married. I would like to be a legal owner of this home with my husband, how do I legally accomplish this ? Who do I go to to perform this service ? I need this information to confirm what I already may know. I say this because I have had a title change to add my name so far, but I would like to know if it is the correct form (should it be a deed or tile, are these two terms considered the same) and what other forms should I address. Another question, the deed that does have my name added states that I have only been married once, first to my husband. This is not true, I was married before and I my present husband is not my first husband. Does this make the currend deed invalid because of this incorrect statement ?

A attorney in your area can handle that for you. Most of the time it doesn't cost much.

Yes, but in order for your name to be on the title, you will have to be on the mortgage as well, I think. Best to consult a lawyer, it may be expensive but at best, the best way to approach it. This way you will have no doubt in your mind.
