I am a 29 year old single gal who really prefers to hang out at home rather than hit the bars. I'm not much of a drinker and smoke makes me sneeze! I have only ever dated one guy and am <gasp> still a virgin (by accident rather than moral aversion to sex before marriage or determination to wait for the "one").

At this point in my life, I am starting to feel a little lonely - but I am just not sure how to get out there and meet men. Since I have so little relationship experience, I am just not sure how to go about this "dating" thing.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Well first the only type of man you find at a bar normally is a drunk, married men, or those who will want to keep hanging out at bars.

So what do you do, a place of religious worship, many good choices there.

Do you shop for grocries, go to the mall, there are men everywhere.

For myself, I meet my wife on line, not on a dating site but merely a chatting site. I would bet we have had a few people meet on here over the time we have been here.

Coffee houses where they have open mike nights, or other events are places for people to meet. And while I think a bar is the last place to ever go to meet anyone, I would make the exception of some of the nicer custom breweries, where they do custom beers ( a much higher level of customers)

Get some hobbies, go join some new education classes, start a sport, go to the gym, meet your friends friends.

Through a sport I did and still do I met a friend who I never really spoke to for about two years. Over time we became good friends and through him I met loads of other of my current good friends and eventually my Ex. This is through one sport. You are not going to meet anyone stuck in doors, so get some ambition or a passion and get yourself out the housE!

Do you go out with your girls? Like said above, getting involved in other things can lead you down the path you are looking for. Plus, you will be having lots of fun learning new things.
Do you have a dog? Go to a dog park, lots of people there.
