A/C Blower not kicking on consistently
Our A/C blower will not always kick on when it should (i.e. the outside unit comes on, but the blower doesn't). We have to hit the reset button on the digital thermostat for it to work (sometimes turning the thermostat off and then on again will work, too). This thermostat is new, and before we had a manual one (it did the same thing with the manual thermostat). I've read a lot lately about a blower relay, but not sure if that is it. Can you advise?

How about if you switch the fan switch from auto to on? If this doesn't help I'd say you have a relay problem. Once the fan is running, does it stay running? Give us a little more info, model of furnace,A/C and thermostat.

If I switch it from auto to on, it still won't come on.

If it is already running, it will continue running until it is time to kick off (after the outside unit has kicked off).

Thermostat is Rite Temp (from Home Depot). I don't know what the other therm. Was before we changed it to this one (it was not digital, this one is), but this problem has been persistent with both thermostats.

Air Handler? (inside unit) is a Goodman Manuf. Co. LP; Model A30-10

Outside unit is a Goodman Manuf. Co. LP; CPLE 30-IC

Ok, you have a relay problem, chances are the furnace has a circuit board and you will need to replace it. Do you have warranty on the system?

No warranty. I assume this is big bucks to fix. Any idea of a ballpark figure?
