Colour of Babies Eyes
Hi
I would like to know if you could determine what the colour of my sons eyes would be? I have green eyes, my wife has brown eyes, my parent both have brown eyes and her parents also has brown eyes, my grandfather has blue eyes. My sons eyes at the moment is grey in the morning, brown in the afternoon and green at night, sometimes it is blue in the morning. I would just like to know what colour he's eyes will be if possible?

How old is he? They may remain hazel, which can look like they change colors in different light, but will probably end up brown or greenish brown.
In North America, "hazel" is often used to describe eyes that change color, ranging from light brown to green and even blue, depending on what color clothing the person is wearing or what color is predominant in their immediate environment. My husband has Hazel Eyes. I have Brown Both his parents have brown and his grandparents blue. My mom has dark brown, my father steel grey, and my grandparents half and half (brown/blue)
My son came out with the most beautiful blue eyes. But if you look close you can see all of these colors in his eyes.

Someone told me a story about a friend who walked into the delivery room after his wife had a baby, saw that the newborn's eyes were blue (they normally are) and accused her of infidelity. He left her shortly afterward. But in fact she had not been unfaithful to him at all and the baby was his. I hope this isn't why you are asking this question! The genetics of eye color is more complicated than most people think and not a basis for deciding if it's your baby or not. I know this is a sensitive subject, but if there's doubt about fidelity, it can hopefull be resolved without involving the baby. I always think it is so sad when they become Exhibit A instead of people to be loved and cherished.
