I will offer to pay for the treatment,, But she has to make effort in some of this.
Becides her parents in all legality clearly in default at best with animal cruelty/by cause of neglect.

My childhood cat always came home with wounds from either fighting with other cats or from blue jays pecking holes in his head, and I always cleaned the wounds with peroxide and a topical antibiotic cream (Neosporin is a name brand, but generics are much less expensive), and both products being readily available in most any house's medicine cabinet. Before cleaning, I would pick the scab and squeeze any puss out first, and then start the cleaning process. It may be too late for that, but it is worth a try for a last ditch effort. Your cat's demeanor sounds very much like my cat, and he would let me clean him up without too much trouble.
As far as a phone call, I agree with DocWill there really is no excuse, if indeed this is a true situation. Pick up a phone book and start calling around for help. If you explained your situation, most non-profit, no kill shelters would arrange to pick up the cat at your house. I know the place I volunteer for would.

Injured, lethargic and timid cat [ 4 Answers ]

Hi, My usually bouncy, happy, full of life 1yo has suddenly become lethargic and timid. He has stopped going outside, eats very little food and appears lethargic. Injured Ankle [ 4 Answers ]

I injured my ankle a month ago in my ice skating show. My blade got caught and I fell. I was fine but then, my ankle was swollen for about 3 weeks. So, I thought I sprained or just twisted my ankle. ( I didn't see a doctor) It went away and started to heal. But then, somehow it must've gotten hurt...

Injured foot... [ 0 Answers ]

I think I've possibly fractured my foot but I'm not 100% sure. As I was walking through my living room, my right baby toe got caught on a chair leg and was bent back. I just thought I had stubbed my toe, but I woke the next morning to a very swollen, bruised foot. The swelling and pain persisted...
