Relocation and evalution test
Hello there,
I'm in a relocation case with my kids (15,13,9). We're presently living in argentina but want to relocate back to fl. My children rarely see their father, does not participate in raising them, going to school plays, sports (even on weekends), taking them to school or picking them up etc. they see their paternal grandparents once ever 2-3 months although they live only 10 min away. I've always been a housewife and unemployment here is rampant, even for young professional people. I'm 43. I have a great job opportunity in fl. Thanks to friends of my parents in fl. I need help raising my two teenage daughters and my little boy. We feel very alone. Their father drops by for 5 min on their birthdays and gives them a ton of money and that's it. Well, I guess you kind of get the picture. My kids have already talked to the judge and manifested their wishes to relocate close to their grand parents, aunts/uncles and cousins. I asked for an evaluation for all of us, including their father.
My question is as follows (please bare with me) what happens if my kids tell the phsycologist that they will not miss their father since they will be spending all school vacations with him (close to 90 days a yr versus 40 incomplete days) and that when their father calls3 times a MONTH to eat lunch or dinner with him that they simply don't want to see him, their just not interested for some reason. I think that it's because he hasn't been in their lives for over 7 yrs now (they were small when we separated)will that play against us? Will the phsycologist say something like that she recommends them staying so they can first build a relationship with their father before they leave? I've tried everything for him to be more involved in their lives but he says he doesn't have time because of his work and because he has a girlfriend at home with two babies. He even told the judge that. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks from s. america (by the way, we're all american citizens except the father)

I made a mistake, the father calls 3 times a MONTH, not a week, (I wish). Thank you Monica
