    1983 Jeep Wagoneer ignition lock
I assume maybe the key broke of in the ignition? Best way to get an accurate answer, call a Jeep Dealership in the yellow pages, ask for the service department, ask then put the question to them. I have called service departments at dealerships many times and they usually have more accurate info than the local repair shop. They may still tell you to bring it in, but they should be able to tell you over the phone if it can be done (without a key or locksmith).

If you know something about locksmith all you have to do is disassembly the steering column and change the ignition switch the chevy one is the same fits well just ask the one of the same year for example 1983 chevy silverado etc.
