Sudden hair loss in a 23 yr old woman
Hi,
I hope some of you can help me out. Within the past few weeks I've noticed a widened part and multiple areas over my scalp where my hair seems to have fallen out. I usually can go a day and a half without shampooing but now my scalp gets oily again just hours after I wash my hair. The roots are extremely oily and the ends are really brittle. I haven't changed my diet, I'm at a good weight and I do yoga about 4 times a week. There is construction going on next door... could that have something to do with it? I'm afraid of losing all my hair. |

Excessive sebum on the scalp can also lead to hair loss and hair thinning. You should consider seeing a doctor regarding your hair loss. The doctor will examine your scalp and run some tests to see what's causing it and then prescribe a treatment.
