    Mystery Plant Growing
Please help me identify this plant. I thought it might be some type of fruit tree looking at the stalk. There are no prickly needles on the plant.

It looks like it might be growing on brick work, and in that case it looks to me like german ivy. German ivy can travel quite a distance underground and come up as ground cover and eventually find some brick to climb on.

I think it has far too much soft tissue to be any kind of a tree. The leaves don't look right for any kind of fruit tree I can think of. It doesn't look like it is climbing the brick like ivy to me.

I moved this plant from the middle of my front yard to the current spot. Previously, I had an six foot obelisk with morning glories growing there. Also, I had a dahlia and I tried starting a fruit tree there once. I kept the plant because I did not know what it is. I have included a couple more pictures that might help identity this plant.
