I have been trying to find out the name of this kid's fantasy movie:


It's a little boy and his mom--his father is in the military, or the airforce of soemthing, and he's gone missing, so the kid and his mom have to move in with the mom's aunt in this big old house.

The boy finds a doorway in the attic that leads him to this other land, and in order to get back, he has to get a key (I think), and there is this evil witch queen trying to stop him... the queen has different colored hair all throughout the movie, and at the end it all get cut off, and she is trapped in a room full of mirrors.

There is also a part where the boy has to go into a cave and go through a test that has a question about what the boy would do if he found money on the ground in a school...

I think there is a dog as well, and I know the mom and the boy say "angels on your pillow" to each other before they go to bed--also, the boy's dad comes back at the end of the movie.

If anyone knows what this movie, is, that would be awesome :confused:

I know exactly what you're talking about. My best friend and I used to watch it all the time. I was trying to remember the name of it the other day. Let me do some searching and I'll get back to you, cause I really want to know too.

Ok found it, It's called "Storybook" (1995) I will never forget that scene when Queen Evilia is in the room with the mirrors, screaming over her lost beauty.
